Apple Studio Display/USB not recognized ?

, I got an Apple Studio Display with QS g4 that when connected get in console. In last month May 11 11:34:15 QUICKSILVER kernel[0]: USBF: 2058.495 (0x1880800) The IOUSBF is having problems enumerating a USB device that has been plugged in. It will keep retrying. (Port 4 of hub @ location: 0x18200000). If I try to unplug the monitor at the ADC connecter then the monitor sleeps appropriately. I found out the problem when the Mac would not sleep via energy saver and now searching for the source of the problem. I also have not other monitor but wondered how to know if it is in Mac vs in monitor.
