Excessive heat after 10.5.7 install ?

I recently installed 10.5.7 combo update. After installing it i found that fairly minor utilization causes the MacBook to get really hot. For example when i run iTunes then the CPY temperature is around 1490f but activating the jelly or stix visualizers brings it up to 1900f or higher till the fan ramps up and starts to bring the temperature down to 1800f or below. If anyone else has also faced this problem and solve it then please suggest me what to do in this situation? Thanks!
