Don’t Install Mac OS X 10.5.7 ?
I recently purchase the iMac and after that I was trying to install the Mac OS X 10.5.7. After installing the 10.5.7 I have encountered a problem. The problem is that my iMac is not recognizing one of my external Hard Disk Drive – the one with my iTunes library on it. iMac is able to recognize the other USB and Firewire external drives but not my buffalo one. It was working file till I have updated it. It is not showing the system profiler. Now I am planning to download the combo update and re-run that. Can anyone suggest me what to do so that the iMac will recognize my external drives.
I think there is some problem in your External HDD or there is an issue with 10.5.7. This is the upgrade issue. I also faced some problem while I had update from Tiger to Leopard. Sometimes software update cannot verify the packages due to the lost packets or something else due to overwhelmed of server. There may be wrong with the package\'s verification info. Download update directly from apples servers or from any other place. If you have installed Quicksilver then along with this shut down all the applications. Then run the installer in the disk image and restart your Mac. I think you get your solution. Try this hopefully it works. If at any stage you find that you have lost any one of your data then use data recovery macsoftware to recover them easily. Take care good bye.
