Problem regarding mechanical failure in hard drive of Mac ?

I recently bought a new computer with 1 terabyte hard drive of Seagate. I downloaded something from the internet and then I shut down the computer. Later on when I tried to switch on the computer, I was getting system disk error and the computer was asking me to insert a disk and then continue. I know that my hard drive has crashed due to mechanical failure. I did the boot settings and it did not yielded any results. What can be the possible reason for this fairly new hard drive to be broken? Is there anything that I can download from the internet and boot off top get rid of this problem? I am looking for some suggestions, kindly help.
