MAC File Corruption Occurs Due To File Sharing

Now-a-days MAC file corruption has become common problem for all MAC users. Corruption may occurs due to various unfavorable reasons like virus attack, improper shut down of system, power failure, damaged file structure and human errors etc. Whatever be the reason its outcome is corruption of files. When files become corrupted you are unable to access them and different types of error messages appear.

Sometimes sharing of files also leads to corruption. As you know that MAC OS offers you dual booting environment after partition so, those users aspiring for high performance and reliability can enjoy the benefit of both MAC and Linux on same system. This can be done by using specific driver of Linux that allow read or write data access HFS+ file system of MAC. But it can do so only when journalisation feature of HFS+ file system is turned off because Linux doesn’t support it when this feature is enabled. Sometimes Linux driver generates error when you try to access MAC OS X HFS+ partition using it and the configuration becomes useless to you. Such error occurs due to MAC file corruption and sometimes it increases to such an extent that it needs recovery solutions.

This setup is not reliable and hence you should use it only when you have valid backup. For an instance, when you are using dual boot mode and try to move files to MAC OS X in a non-journaled mode, it might happens that MAC file corruption occurs and your HFS+ partition gets corrupted. It generally occurs when you try to move large number of files or directory at a time. The corruption makes your HFS+ file system inaccessible and it may leads to data loss. So, always try to use small HFS+ partition for file sharing.

1.Your startup disk cannot be partitioned because verification failed. Start your MAC from MAC OS X install disk and use Disk Utility to repair your startup disk.

It is advised to use FAT32 file system which is trustworthy and support both MAC and Linux operating system. However if MAC File Corruption occurs due to file sharing recreate the partition and restore the data by using MAC Data Recovery software. It retrieves all types of files and restore files from HFS,HFS+, HFS wrapper and FAT volumes.
